VPN for Android

BetterVPN is a native Android app for phones and tablets. The same listing also covers Android TV. One BetterVPN account works across your other platforms.

How to install

  1. Install from Google Play, or download the APK from the BetterVPN download page if you sideload.
  2. Sign in with email (one-time code), Google, or Apple.
  3. Connect. If Android asks for VPN permission, allow it.
  4. Disable battery optimization for BetterVPN if the tunnel drops when the screen is off.

What you get

  • AES-256 encryption between your device and BetterVPN servers.
  • Kill switch that can block traffic if the VPN tunnel drops.
  • Split tunneling: per-country, per-app, and per-website / per-IP rules.
  • One BetterVPN account on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, macOS, Apple TV, Android TV, and Linux.
  • Standard VPN includes up to 10 devices; Dedicated Server includes up to 30.

Notes

  • Always-on VPN or Private DNS on the device can conflict with a third-party VPN. Toggle them if connect fails.
  • APK installs are not one-tap: enable “Install unknown apps” for your browser, then open the file.
  • Google Play purchases follow Google’s refund policy. Fire TV and Fire tablet purchases follow the Amazon Appstore refund policy.
